A ton of pictures from behind the scenes of the Fury film set

Some of us have seen the film. Some of you guys were in it.  Some of us liked it and some of us hated it! Nonetheless, here are some ‘behind the scenes’ images.

The story takes place in 1945 as the Nazi regime is in collapse and revolves around the five-man crew of an American tank called Fury that battles a desperate German army.  The new images offer a glimpse at how Ayer  shoot the tank-set scenes, and confirms that the director was shooting the pic on good old fashioned film.

Much of “Fury” is spent inside the tank with the weathered soldiers, who are part of a battalion rolling into a dangerous, desperate area of Germany in the last months of World War II.

Lerman, 22, recalls one of Ayer’s methods for building a bond between the actors.

“We sparred every day,” he says. “There’s no better way to break barriers than by punching each other in the face.
