Sunday, October 14th marked the 952nd anniversary of the Battle of Hastings. It proved not only decisive in the Norman invasion of England, but a cultural turning point that changed the face of Britain forever.
Depicting scenes recorded using the strategy game A Total War Saga: THRONES OF BRITANNIA, the British studio Creative Assembly have made a short documentary charting the rise and fall of the Anglo Saxons, between Alfred the Great’s victory over the Viking invaders at the battle of Edington, to King Harold’s demise at the Battle of Hastings.

The documentary also contains interview footage with Dr. Neil McGuigan of the University of St. Andrews, who supported the game’s development with his expansive knowledge of the period, and Jack Lusted, THRONES OF BRITANNIA’s game director.
