Norway Airs Documentary That Displays the Skeletal Remains of Jewish Prisoners

August Hirt

In a University of Strasbourg which is located in France, there lies a room with the remains of 86 Jewish corpses. The Nazi scientists used these corpses as teaching props to demonstrate race theories, JTA.com reports.

Earlier this month the public network, NRK 1, aired a documentary that featured the room in which the remains were displayed. The  actual remains were laid to rest several decades ago.
The man responsible for the morbid display room was August Hirt. Hirt was an SS captain who sat as the chairman for the Reich University in Strasbourg. He ordered two researchers to chose 109 Jewish prisoners from Auschwitz-Birkenau, the notorious death camp located in Poland. When these unfortunate souls were selected, they were meant to be brought to  back to the University–and murdered on premises. Of the 109 prisoners that were chosen, 86 survived. The survivors (and ultimately the victims) were 29 women and 57 men.

Hirt sent correspondence to SS commander Heinrich Himmler to inform him that though the University had various exhibits from other races, they did not have any Jews.

In the letter, Hirt states, “The war in the East now offers us the opportunity to remedy this deficiency. […] We are able to provide a document that illustrates that the Jewish-Bolshevik commissioners represent a disgusting but characteristic type of sub-human.”
