US warship under makeover

A US navy cruiser which was used during the Second World War is now found as a floating museum on the waterfront of lake Erie in Buffalo. The top side of this cruise is now going to have its new look, the WIVB.com reports.

The recent reports of the Buffalo news agency states that the workers started to replace the wooden deck of the USS Little Rock. The workers replaced the pressure-treated lumber which covers the deck of a seventy years old warship with a durable vinyl type covering. Along with the second world war Navy vessels like the USS Croaker, a submarine and the USS The Sullivans, a destroyer. The Little Rock is too a part of the military park and the Buffalo and Erie County Naval. Since, after its arrival in the late 1970s in Buffalo the wooden, the wooden planked deck of the Little Rock is always affected by the bad and severe winter of Buffalo. This make over project of the Little Rock is about half million dollar for which $ 275,000 in the form of grants and donation have been obtained till now.
