This year, in honour of the 70th anniversary of the victory in Europe and the 71st anniversary of D-Day, a group of guests including veterans and actors from the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers gathered in Normandy, France. The four-day event (June 4-7) saw participants tour the Overlord Museum, the Utah Beach Museum and the Richard D. Winters Leadership Monument. For fans of Band of Brothers and history aficionados, it was a unique chance to meet veterans who participated in the D-Day landings and the actors who portrayed them, as well as tour areas where actual battles took place.
Wargaming was a proud sponsor of this event, as part of our ongoing support of historical and heritage projects, along with The WWII Foundation and our content partner, War History Online.
