Insane Gulf War Footage Of An F-16 Dodging SAM Missiles Over Iraq

Amazing video of F-16, callsign Stroke 3, dodging six SAM launches during Desert Storm.

The Gulf War which lasted from 2 August 1990 to 28 February 199 was a war waged by coalition forces from 34 nations led by the United States against Iraq in response to Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait.

The war was marked by the introduction of live news broadcasts from the front lines of the battle, principally by the U.S. network CNN. The war has also earned the nickname Video Game War after the daily broadcast of images from cameras on board U.S. bombers during Operation Desert Storm

This video is from the January 19th, 1991 raid, two days into the launching of Operation Desert Storm and was one of the largest daytime raids and after two nights of pounding by coalition forces, the Iraqi’s were throwing everything they had at the coalition fighters.

The video starts out with his permission arming before takeoff as he narrates into the video. The SAM action begins around the 3:00 point. The radar warning receiver tones and chirps can often be heard. In some cases, you can see the missile smoke trails.
