The Channel Islands were amongst the most heavily fortified parts of the Atlantic Wall. On 20 October 1941, Hitler signed a directive which was to turn the Channel Islands into an “impregnable fortress.”

The video shows the unique five-story naval observation tower was built and used by German forces from 1942 to 1945, as part of their sea defense system during their occupation of Guernsey in World War Two.
The original rangefinders are still onsite and are in working order, which is very rare indeed.
