See this extraordinary combat footage from WWII! Watch, as it begins with the German soldiers marching in their famous or – depending on your preference – infamous goose-step at several military parades.
Adolf Hitler, the Nazi leader, even makes a brief appearance as he reviews one of the processions.
Then we go directly to combat. Descending through the air, German paratroopers jump from the Junkers JU52 airplanes and flamethrowers are used on a bunker which is completely demolished.
Now it’s time for the heavy combat weapons. A dismounted 88mm gun is used as an anti-tank, tactical weapon as it fires on battle tanks from a bridge.
A quad-mount 20mm anti-aircraft gun is firing at buildings in the distance. It looks like – and we believe it is – combat footage from the invasion of Poland.
Next up, the German ground forces are advancing up a street behind the cover of what is possibly an Sd.Kfz 231 armored vehicle.
A large and noisy artillery gun fires on a house. That is followed by Stuka dive-bombers attacking a city; they are Junkers JU87s. See several buildings collapse when, at 1:17.
Then the sighting of a rare armored vehicle can be seen: the 15 cm sIG 33 (Sf) ausf Panzerkampfwagen I Ausf B German self-propelled infantry gun. These rare weapons were deployed in service from 1940 to 1943; there were only 38 ever built.
A Pz.Kpfw. 1; the German Panzer 1 battle tank drives through a deep puddle and from behind the Panzer the infantry is seen attacking, first in a village, and then the soldiers move across a road to take shelter on the edge of the village.
A Dornier bomber drops a devastating stick of bombs at 1:39 that cause enormous explosions on the targets.
The infantry opens fire at the aircraft with MG-34 machine guns; one is even fired from the shoulder of another soldier when the Heinkel HE 111 airplane is seen dropping bombs that are exploding on a road below.
A column of Panzer tanks is deployed across a field when another Sd.Kfz 231 is seen firing at distant targets at 2:01.
