A company from Hungary mates two MiG engines with a Soviet T-34 tank and proceeds to extinguish the worst sort of raging oil-well fire.
The oil fires in Kuwait were part of a scorched earth policy of the Iraqi forces that were retreating under the pressure of the advancing ground forces of the Allied Coalition in January and February of 1991. Around 605 to 732 oil wells and with an unspecified number of oil filled low-lying areas, such as oil lakes and fire trenches were set ablaze causing fires that burned for months.
The first well fires were extinguished early in 1991 and the last was finally capped on November 6, 1991.
Watch this incredible machine take on a massive burning oil well and extinguishes it in mere seconds!
